WELCOME:
to infantry_ward, the latest carnation of LiveJournal community for the Call of Duty series. The only major difference with this community is that it will not be dedicated to just the Spin-off, Modern Warfare, but to the entire series. So feel free to post any information or start conversations / general discussion on upcoming and already released titles of the CoD series. This is not just a "NEWS LETTER", where news is posted and nothing else is allowed to be posted, so while the CoD fandom is relatively small, if you have anything like GRAPHICS, FANFICTION or FANMXIES to contribute, please post them here! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me the mod.

CALL OF DUTY:
Call of Duty is a first person and third-person shooter video game series franchise. The series began on the PC, and later expanded to consoles and handhelds, and several spin-off games have also been released alongside the main series. The majority of the games in the series have been set primarily in World War II, with the exception of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which are set in modern times. The Call of Duty video games are published and owned by Activision and published for Macs by Aspyr Media and have been developed primarily by Infinity Ward and Treyarch, with other games being developed by Gray Matter Interactive, Spark Unlimited, Pi Studios, Amaze Entertainment, Rebellion Developments, and n-Space, using a variety of game engines including the id Tech 3, the Treyarch NGL, and the IW 4.0. Other products in the franchise include a line of action figures designed by Plan-B Toys, a card game created by Upper Deck, and a comic book mini-series published by WildStorm. As of November 27, 2009, total sales for the Call Of Duty series have surpassed 55 million units worldwide, taking $3 billion in retail sales in the process.

GUIDELINES:
•Be polite to your fellow members. There may be difference of opinions but please, no personal attacks or name calling. This is a light-hearted fan community, let's not make it a negative experience. If you continue to be a problem in this community, you'll be banned from posting.

•Absolutely no bashing of any sort. If you don't like the characters, the actors, or the game series, then you really are in the wrong place aren't ya?

•All Negative or Hateful Posts will be deleted and you will most likely be BANNED without warning.

•Do not post Artwork or Fanfiction that isn't your own without the creator's express permission. It will be deleted otherwise.

•Absolutely NO HOTLINKING images. If you have images you wish to upload, please use your Scrapbook or Image hosting websites (Photobucket.com, Imageshack.us, tinypic.com, imagebam etc). Do not use the Bandwidth from another website, its what people call "Bandwidth Stealing" and its not nice.

•Wanna become an Affilate with infantry_ward? Please leave a post in the "Affilate" Entry linked here to let me know and you'll be added pronto.

•COMMUNITY PROMOTION is allowed, but please remember to ask permission first via the "Affiliation" post (see TAG: 'affiliates') and that the promotion of a community is once a month only and must pertain to the subject matter of the community (in this case Call of Duty).

•All images exceeding the 300x300 size must be placed behind a LJ Cut. Also No more than 3 Icons can be shown outside an of LJ Cut, the rest must be put behind the cut as well. Fanfiction must also be placed behind a cut, and a template described below to summerize your story.

•When Posting News and other material you did not create, remember to link to the "SOURCE" you found it at. Its only right.

•Be kind to your fellow users; This is a place of recreaction and fun, if you disagree with someone then keep it to yourself if you are unable to do disagree in a respectful manner. Spiteful and Hateful behavior towards users will not be tolerated.

•Keep Things like Fanmixes available to view for "Members" only. Do not leave them public.

•Feel Free to post whatever you want in Your journal or Your graphic journal, But, PLEASE make it PUBLIC, DO NOT make our members Join your community.

→ To avoid spammers, flamers and trolls, to become a member you must have an active/established account that you post on a semi-regular basis. If you've been rejected then it is because of the following:
+ There are zero to no entries on your personal journal (outside of the "Weclome to LiveJournal!" Message) since it's inception.
+ You have no associates (friends) nor are you a member of any communities.
+ Your journal is new and not established.
